Driving on the ‘Modena’ highway, at the ‘Firenze, Ancona’ road-fork continue in the ‘Florence’ direction and take the ‘Bologna Casalecchio’ exit.
from Ancona / Rimini (A14 / A1):
Driving on the A14 highway, continue after ‘Imola’ pass the ‘Bologna S. Lazzaro’ exit in the ‘Firenze, Bologna Casalecchio’ direction, take the A1 connection and exit at ‘Bologna Casalecchio’.
from Rome / Florence (A1):
Driving from ‘Sasso Marconi’ continue in the ‘Bologna, Padua, Ravenna’ direction and take the ‘Bologna Casalecchio’ exit.
from Padua / Ferrara (A13 / A1):
Driving from ‘Ferrara’ surpass the ‘Bologna Interporto’ and ‘Bologna Arcoveggio’ exits, take the A1 connection and continue in the ‘Milan, Florence’ direction. Follow the ‘Florence, Bologna Casalecchio’ direction and take the ‘Bologna Casalecchio’ exit.
After the ‘Bologna Casalecchio’ exit you will continue in a ring-road i.e. the ‘Tangenziale di Bologna’ (231 m). Take the second exit on the right and follow the ‘Maranello, Vignola, Bazzano’ direction. You are now on the South-West freeway denominated ‘Nuova Bazzanese’.

At the airport exit, surpass the traffic lights and take the ‘Tangenziale’ (ring-road) of Bologna in the ‘A1, Casalecchio di Reno’ direction. Drive through it and take the last exit (before the A1 highway entrance) signalled as ‘Casalecchio - Maranello’. Keep the left direction following the ‘Maranello, Vignola, Bazzano’ road signs. You are now on the South-West freeway denominated ‘Nuova Bazzanese’.
ONCE YOU REACHED THE 'NUOVA BAZZANESE' FREEWAY
Drive on the ‘Nuova Bazzanese’ freeway for 3.4 km until you reach the third exit signalled as ‘Zola Predosa, Tolè, Monte S. Pietro’. Exit, staying in the right direction and go down the ramp. At the first cross-road turn left in via Roma (444 m) following the ‘Zola Predosa, Tolè, Monte S. Pietro’ road signs.
Drive through 3/4 of the roundabout and follow the ‘Cereglio, Tolè, Monte S. Pietro’ indications and reach via Rigosa (433 m).
Drive through 2/4 of the next roundabout and reach via Garibaldi (1 km) following the ‘Tolè, Monte S. Pietro’ direction. Continue on via Gessi (2.6 km), surpass the bridge on the Lavino river and reach a roundabout.
Turn left in the ‘Tolè, Cereglio’ direction and continue through the Calderino town and the successive industrial area, remaining always on via Lavino (15.2 km). Slow down when you meet the ‘Monte San Giovanni’ road sign. DATASENSOR OPTICS, easily identified by the light-blu sign and by the two red-brick buildings, is soon after on the right at the 265 civic number of via Lavino.
